Understanding Your NDIS Transport Funding
Transport support can be funded in a few different ways within your NDIS plan, depending on your goals:
Core Supports – Transport (Category 02): This is a direct funding allocation paid dynamically to you or your provider to cover the physical costs of travel (e.g., mileage or specialist transport fees).
Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life: If a support worker is physically driving you and accompanying you to an activity, their time is typically billed under your standard daily activity code.
Capacity Building – Increased Social & Community Participation: This funding can be utilized for specialized public transport training to build your long-term independent travel skills.
